We have made
a web-birthdayparty for you, Leandro. Dana told us that your homeland is Argentina; so we
invited a special guest for you - Carel Kraayenhof. Carel is a Dutch bandeonist and
has his own sextet.
A few years
ago I assisted at a filmscript for a documentary about Carel and his music. In my
wheelchair I went to one of his concerts in Amsterdam.
I was allowed to go backstairs and....to keep his bandoneon in my hands. Just to sense how
it feels to play the bandoneon.
That
was a big, big favour - because bandoneons are very precious and vulnerable. And Carel
treats his bandoneon as a baby. On the photo below, you see his twins; in fact Carel has
three children - the twins and the bandoneon. Have a nice day, Leandro. Bye, many
