This MixTalent Conference – our meeting here today, is a step in a longer development. I will try to be the voice and face of our core topic: “Durable Web Education and eLearning for Students with physical challenges and medical needs.” And the caretaker of our MixTalent Stream, meandering from hospital to school, from home to school, from mayor to mayor, from public library to public library. Our eBooks are not for sale, they are free from material obligations. But we expect from grown ups when they download our webwork to be a volunteer in our MixTalent-stream and are accepting the responsibility to bring our eBook to a public library in their neighborhood.

Sometimes people are assuming our conference is meant  to push our project higher and higher, but grassroots we are and grassroots we stay. Connected with the world around us. We are the extra help when a full curriculum isn’t possible,  the custom made perspective when dispair is a bit overwhelming and the pleasure and optimism when hope is needed.

I am living a physical sheltered existence, but mentally and emotionally I am connected to a broad world. The web is my bridge, my tool to be an active human being. With respect to the web my situation is comparable with the one of our students. Today I will present the webwork of teachers and the students who have to coop with physical challenges. With the teachers we are trying to organise “Durable Moments” for the students – webexperiences they can use in and have meaning for a longlife learningproces.

In this part of the program we wil present to you a summary of the webwork done during this celebrationyear:
