When you are 9 years you are more aware of the people  around you.   Frequently children write us: "I want to be like my friends, but I am different." And they mention things as: "I move in a different way." or "I cann't play or eat the same things."
That's why we made the story of Jaco and are now developing the following workshops:

We, the Members of Studio Macadam, the Kids & Teens of Bearable Times - The Kids Hospital Network & the Students of Shadows on the Shore in America, have made this story for all the children in Holland. It is our gift to the Dutch Children's Bookweek of 1999. We dedicate this story to our friends of the Flevoparkschool in Amsterdam.
